THE 4th ANNUAL PLANET PALMERSTON COMMUNITY YARD SALE RETURNS!

The residents of Palmerston Blvd. are planning their 4th annual PLANET PALMERSTON: a community yard sale with a portion of proceeds going to Habitat For Humanity Toronto.

This year’s event aims to build on the success of past years when Palmerston Boulevard came alive with yard sales, bake sales, lemonade stands, raffles, face painting, plant sales, bbq’s, live music and a strong sense of community. The event has now raised over $8000 for charity.

“The intention of the day is to build community on our own street, to invite others to celebrate with us and together, raise money and awareness for charities working to improve our community at large,” says one of the event’s organizers Mackenzie Muldoon; “everybody wins!”

Established in 1988, Habitat for Humanity Toronto is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing organization. We welcome all people without discrimination to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families. One hundred percent of all administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of four Toronto ReStores. Habitat Toronto ReStores sell quality new and gently used donated building materials. Habitat for Humanity Toronto is proud to be a 2011 Tarion Award of Excellence Finalist in the Medium Volume Builder category. Every 10 minutes, Habitat for Humanity helps a family improve their housing situation in more than 100 countries around the world.

Come celebrate community on the prettiest street in Toronto!
