A few weeks back the team organizing the event set out to repeat the success of last year's inaugural Planet Palmerston and build on it, and we did just that. Last year's 23 sales raised $2,132.00. This year we had 25 sales on the street and raised just over $3000.00 for Habitat For Humanity Toronto ($3001.20 to be exact)! $825.50 was donated by sales along Palmerston, from College to Bloor, and the remainder was raised by the awesome team efforts of contributors to the "Habitat Headquarters" at 351 Palmerston.Thanks go out to Kalendar Restaurant, Lily of the Valley, Sidecar Restaurant, The Big Chill Ice Cream Parlor and Metro Grocery for their contributions to the day.
And a special thanks go out to all who participating by having sales, donating goods, baking, facepainting, playing music, making lemonade, sourcing raffle prizes, helping out at headquarters, BBQ'ing, inviting friend, spreading the word or just getting out there and shopping!
